The DBA raised its
profile and emphasised the value of effective design amongst
the influential and international audience who attended the
53rd Cannes Lions - the respected, annual advertising festival
in France. Raymond Turner (Design Leadership Consultant and
former Group Design Director at BAA) joined DBA Chief Executive,
Deborah Dawton, on this major platform to address some of
the most influential creative minds in the marketing industries.
The crux of the presentation which was delivered on 20 June
2006, entitled 'How to champion effective design within your
organisation', made the case for design as a vital business
contributor with a measurable return on its investment.
Cannes Lions is
the only annual gathering of the world's advertising, creative,
direct marketing, interactive, film, radio, media, sales promotion
and marketing communities.
