Julian is a founding partner of the Team. In his role
as managing director he has responsibility for strategic client issues
and shaping the reputation of the business. He has consulted on strategic
brand development and communication issues with Microsoft, Nokia,
Comic Relief, Chartered Society of Development, NHS, Home Office,
Department for Education and Ukonline.
He divides his time equally between working actively with existing
clients and contributing to industry events and organisations. As
a Board Director of the DBA, he has initiated the Design Does It
personal development programme for design buyers in the public sector
and consults with the Design Council and COI. He is a member of
the London board of Communications in Business for whom he runs
events, sits on a steering group of the Creative Business Network
and recently branded the EDGE creative Industries Conference and
is an active member of the Associated Parliamentary Group on Design
for whom he talks on subjects such as procuring design. He also
regularly writes for industry journals, lectures, chairs events
and judges awards - most recently the Helen Hamlyn Inclusive Design
Awards.
