The Shortlist

This year the awards system has been changed to more accurately reflect the quality of entries. As such there are three levels of award; Gold, Silver and Bronze.
These awards are issued not on a first-past-the-post basis, but rather on the quality of entry.
This means there could be two gold in one category, for example.

"We really care about the DBA Design Effectiveness Awards. They're hard to win, challenging to prepare for and they cement a common purpose between ourselves and our clients. It means a lot to us when our designs succeed in the marketplace. People buy them and we win - brilliant!"

Dick Powell, Founder, Seymourpowell

Why do you need to start your application NOW?

You need to research data for your entry prior to completing the attached entry form. This can be time consuming and you will also need the full support of your client to obtain the type of data needed to make a convincing case for effectiveness. It is imperative to involve them from the outset. Experience shows that the longer you have to gather supporting data for your entry, the better.

When will I hear any news?

Entrants will be notified of whether they have been shortlisted in August. The winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony at the Hurlingham Club, London on Tuesday 30 October 2007. For further information about the ceremony and purchasing tickets contact

emilie.martin@dba.org.uk

Any hints to help?

As a guide to style and the type of information required, you can view extensive examples of previous winning case studies and tips on how to evaluate effectiveness specific to the different categories.
