ESOMAR, the worldwide membership organisation for market research professionals was facing declining membership numbers in 2004. Fortune Street was tasked with providing an inspiring and manageable brand solution on a budget of £122,000 (179,000), that would communicate ESOMAR’s mission and purpose, help to grow membership by 10% per year, and attract more registrations, sponsors and exhibitors at events.
A new logo, a deep blue colour, an idiosyncratic family of typefaces and line illustrations give ESOMAR both vibrancy and authority. Since the launch of the new identity in September 2005, the organisation’s membership has risen by 11.9% and is now at 4,617. By the end of 2006 revenues from sponsorship and advertising had risen by 19% and congress registration fees by 32%.
