Christine Losecaat
Managing
Director, Little Dipper
Creative Sector Specialist – UK Trade & Investment
Christine
has more than 20 years' experience in the design and
creative industries, and has helped and worked alongside
many leading organisations through her consultancy
work. Christine set up the Little Dipper international
consultancy in 2001, offering research, project management
and business consultancy for organisations in the
creative industries. In the UK, she is retained as
Creative Industries Advisor to UK Trade & Investment
where she has worked with the Creative Industries
International Marketing Strategy Board and Design
Partners, two industry led advisory groups which aim
to coordinate the activities of business, intermediaries
and government to help new and established exporters
develop their overseas trade capability and to encourage
inward investment.
Christine
also currently chairs the Television Export Group
and is Creative Adviser to the Olympic Legacy Unit
at UK Trade & Investment where she is supporting
the development of the Olympic Economic Legacy. She
has been actively involved in creative initiatives
in the USA, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and China,
where she has driven the formation of the China Design
Task Force – a UK Government supported initiative
to help introduce Chinese businesses to British design
expertise and she now chairs UK China Partners.
Prior to
this, Christine spent five years as Managing Director
of the British Design Initiative, a commercial association
that facilitates business between design-led organisations,
the media, and government both in the UK and internationally.
Christine
was Director of International Marketing & Production
at BMG Entertainment International for seven years.
During this time she was instrumental in setting up
the international audio visual infrastructure and
overseeing the global marketing of all central acquisitions.
Christine started her career in advertising before
moving into the music industry and then becoming an
Emmy® Award winning producer. overseeing the global
marketing of all central acquisitions.
