Exemplas Ltd

The Leadership and Management Advisory Service (LMAS) is funded by the Skills Funding Agency (in England only) to support senior leaders to enhance their business-building and leadership skills with the aim of fostering business growth. Successful applicants can claim up to a maximum of £1,000 from the LMAS. This must be fully matched £ for £. You can apply for funding for formal training (e.g. qualification based) or informal training (e.g. coaching or mentoring), however, only the person named on the PDP can benefit from the grant.

An adviser will visit potentially eligible clients and, once eligibility is confirmed, help them to identify their development needs around leadership and management, which forms the basis of the Personal Development Plan (PDP). Businesses must be able to demonstrate the potential for high or fast growth in their PDP.

Skills South

Through the Leadership and Management Advisory Service, owner managers and senior leaders of businesses and social enterprises with plans and potential to achieve high growth have a great opportunity to develop their leadership and management skills.

They offer you up to £1,000 in grant funding to help you pay for the training you need to help your business grow. This grant will pay for 50% of the fees excluding VAT up to the maximum amount of £1,000. If successful they also offer you ongoing support and advice.

An impartial and experienced Leadership and Management Adviser will help you identify your personal development needs at a face to face meeting and provide solutions that will develop your leadership and management skills. Solutions can be:-

• Coaching/mentoring

• Workshops

• Peer Learning

• Action Learning

• Bespoke training

• Qualification based

Your adviser will also discuss and agree with you how this investment will achieve measureable returns for your business.

This offer is available to private sector businesses or social enterprises in the South East and South West Regions that:-

• Have fewer than 250 full time equivalent employees, and

• Have at least one employee in addition to the senior leader, and

• Have the potential for high or fast growth
