Managing projects efficiently

In the design industry you need to be able to manage a variety of different projects – with different timelines, deadlines and budgets – and most likely, you’ll need to manage them all simultaneously.

How can you make sure you meet all these deadlines, stay within budget and, most importantly, keep clients happy?

At this half-day workshop with design industry expert, Lorna Dallas-Conte, you’ll find out about a series of essential and practical project management tools that will allow you to keep a handle on all your projects and deliver them efficiently.

Following a five step framework, you’ll discover how to manage the process and the people involved, by examining the theory and then working through the practicalities.

Through exercises and discussion this session will cover:
  • Why projects succeed and why they fail
  • How to prioritise conflicting needs
  • Getting the most from software
  • Pitfalls to avoid and how to prevent things going wrong
  • Top tips for managing the project management process
  • You’ll leave with a 5 step framework for effective project management.

By managing your projects efficiently, you’ll ultimately help to increase profitability, positively impact your business and achieve better results for your clients.
