Design Does It is aimed at public sector clients to address the challenges they face when commissioning design and to maximise their design investment.

What is it?
Design Does It is a development programme to help marketing and communications professionals in the public sector get better results from commissioning design. It is the leading course of its kind and has been endorsed by the Heads of Publicity Group.

Who is it for?

Publicity, marketing or communications professionals, up to and including senior information officer level. Delegates work will typically span the areas of integrated campaigns, internal communications, branding, online accessibility design, information design, environments and customer experiences.

What will it do for me?
The three-day course provides the opportunity to exchange ideas with leading practitioners, share and debate issues and learn to use tools for dealing with everyday challenges.

It will enable you to:

Previous delegates have come from a wide range of government departments and agencies and not-for-profit organisations including: the Home Office, DCMS, Defra, DfES, Cabinet Office, DWP, Land Registry, Lewisham Council, ODPM, the Crown Prosecution Service, NESTA.

The format
The workshops are delivered by Viadynamics Ltd, an innovation consultancy specialising in leading edge design management methodology. The course is presented through speaker sessions, workshops, project surgeries, and exercises.

Delegates will also work on a 'live' design project during the course with Hoop Associates - a communications consultancy with over ten years experience in the public and private sector. Their clients include Grosvenor, Transport for London, Housing Corporation, Royal Academy of Arts, Crown Prosecution Service, Royal Mail and New Statesman.
