After a long marketing career starting in advertising and design, in agencies and leading design and creative projects for Coca-Cola both in London and the USA Guy Duncan started Brand Equality – a consultancy set up to demystify LGBTQ+ marketing; to ensure marketers and agency teams navigate the terrain armed with education, better equipped to plan and execute their LGBTQ+ targeted campaigns with clarity and confidence, and without worry.

Guy uses his knowledge gained through both personal and professional experience and his MA in Queer History from Goldsmiths to consult on diversity issues in the LGBTQ+ arena for those agencies and marketers who are involved in targeting LGBTQ+ consumers, either now or thinking about it in the future.

The objective is to give them the confidence, the understanding and the background to advance and deliver design and strategic marketing solutions for clients and brands around the time of Pride, LGBT History Month or other moments in our calendar.

Guy demystifies this whole area for those unfamiliar with it, aiming to ensure marketers and agency teams avoid the pitfalls, adhere to the golden rules of LGBT marketing, and respect the authenticity of the space that the LGBT marketing arena requires.
